think before you judge;

Hey Christians out there, guess what, every sin is equal. I know rap your head about that. Listen friends, we’ve got a rep of being judgmental and after going to a small Christian private college in PA I understand why.

Think about your day so far, think about God’s eyes and how your life would be different if you prayed for His vision and thoughts towards people. We all love that we are loved by God and that we were made in His image, but so is that girl sitting across from you in math class! 

Jesus made it clear that putting others down especially in a judgmental manner is most definitely not going to further God’s kingdom! 

Matthew 7:1-5 ESV 

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

God made everyone different for a reason, everyone is tempted you know that and i know that. Some people’s lifestyles may appear to be unhealthy to you, but nothing about that will change without the power of the Holy Spirit. Acting judgemental towards people who need the Spirit is not only hurting yourself but also hurting the possibility of that person’s change in themselves. Everyone grows, everyone develops, everyone goes through trials. God is the only one who can truly judge your intentions with your actions, also God makes it clear that absolutely everyone WILL let you down eventually, go to Him about everything, Cast all stress, anxiety, sadness, insecurities and judgmental tendencies onto Him! Pray for His eyes and love towards EVERYONE not just the individuals in your life that are easy for you to love and accept.

Nothing will change over night, but in God’s timing anything is possible, I have hope for the future that change is on its way. Positve thinking is KEY.
